“Lucas is super excited and shy. He loves football. He plays for E.F. Mareo Logroño, which, like UD Logroñés, has a good relationship with Valencia CF,” his father explained.
FAN STORY | Hugo Duro and his special gift for Lucas Pérez
Discover the story behind this young Valencianista from Logroño
In Alboraya was born the bond between the Pérez family and Valencia CF. From parents to children and from generation to generation, this unique feeling is passed down. The Pérez family, who currently live in Logroño, are huge Valencia CF supporters - and young Lucas looks up to Hugo Duro.
“My father was born in Valencia, in Alboraya, and my whole family on my father’s side is from Valencia. My son Lucas, who is 10 years old, wanted to learn about that part of his story connected to Valencia. We went to see the match against Athletic Club, and he got really emotional because he really likes Hugo Duro. We made a poster asking him for his jersey, but our seats were right up at the top,” said the boy’s father, David Pérez.
At the match against Deportivo Alavés, played at Mendizorroza, Lucas was able to make his dream come true: to be alongside Valencia CF players and meet his favourite player, Hugo Duro.
